'Binocular: disturbance', featuring artists Penny Hallas and Caroline Wright, is on view at the Oriel Davies Gallery, Newtown, Powys, from October 22, 2016, through January 7, 2017.The exhibition showcases the work that Hallas and Wright have created in their Suffolk and Powys studios. The artwork explores the relationship between pieces made from different geographical positions but focused on a single location, in this case, The Skirrid Mountain.The artists examine a number of shared concerns that look at the position and experience of the ‘insider’ and ‘outsider’; using TestBed to challenge ideas through drawings, paintings, exchange and objects, parallel walking, mapping of locations and other actions and works.The exhibition is on view at Oriel Davis Gallery, The Park, Newtown Powys SY16 2NZ.
