“Outer Life,” a solo exhibition by Argentinian artist Tulio de Sagastizábal, is on display through October 29, 2016, at Praxis, New York. Sagastizábal, who is known for his use of vibrant colors and hues, through this show explores the cycle at play in the creation of images. The exhibition examines our endeavor to create or invent images and how they matter to us differently. The artist takes from this and creates his artwork that is quintessentially “outside” of one’s own self. The artwork then becomes an exercise, a process of becoming, whose rules and lessons are elusive and hard to grasp. Although the entire venture is filled with intuitions and purposes, we never feel absolute control over the images that come out and take shape in this way.“Outer Life” promises the viewer another world, of a future where time and moment come alive. The exhibition is on view at Praxis, 541 West 25th Street, New York, NY 10001.
