Gallery Weekend Berlin has announced the participating galleries and artists for its 2016 edition which will take place from April 29 to May 1, 2016.Established in 2004 by a group of local gallerists, Gallery Weekend Berlin has become one of the city’s most anticipated art events, attracting collectors, curators, and art lovers from all over the world.According to organisers, the unique atmosphere of the high concentration of artists and galleries in Berlin was the initial inspiration for the event.Gallery Weekend Berlin 2016 will once again showcase Berlin’s vibrant art scene, with 54 galleries launching exhibitions showcasing a wide variety of work by established and emerging artists.The extended hours (6-9 PM on April 29th and 11-7 PM on April 30th and May 1st) will give visitors the best possible opportunity to see all the fantastic exhibitions on offer throughout the city.Some of the many exciting include Carsten Nicolai at Galerie Eigen + Art, Jim Lambie at Gerhardsen Gerner, Tomás Saraceno at Esther Schipper, Petra Cortright at Société, and Harland Miller at Blain | Southern, to name a few.Participating galleries:ARRATIA BEER | Ed Fornieles GALERIE GUIDO W.
