Francesco Vezzoli returns to the British capital for the first time in nine years with a solo show at Almine Rech Gallery September 8 through October 3. For these recent works, which were the subject
of a show at MOMA PS1 in New York earlier this year, he has taken ancient Roman busts and, with the assistance of archaeologists and conservators, restored their original vivid colors.Gazelli Art House hosts “The Approach,” a group show that includes paintings by Stanley Casselman, an installation by John Wynne, a sculpture by Shan Hur, a large tapestry by Aziz + Cucher, and more. The exhibition is on view September 10 through October 3.Marlborough Contemporary presents a solo show of work by Polish-born Agnieszka Brzezanska, from September 17 through October 31. The artist creates paintings, videos, and photographs that are informed by a range of influences, including science, philosophy, and spirituality. September 25 through October 31, Lisson Gallery debuts new artworks by the Briton Ryan Gander, including an installation, Fieldwork, 2015, in which the artist has placed 40 mundane objects on a rolling conveyor belt.Tiwani Contemporary presents the first U.K. show by Theo Eshetu, a London-born artist of Ethiopian
and Dutch descent known for his immersive multimedia installations, such as his 2014 work
Anima Mundi, which will be
included here. The exhibition runs September 25
