Boros CollectionWorks by Wolfgang Tillmans, Olafur Eliasson, Alicja Kwade, and 130 more artists are on view in a converted World War II bunker, seen below, that is also the home of collectors Christian and Karen Boros.Hoffmann CollectionEvery July, Erika Hoffmann reinstalls the collection she has been building since the ‘60s, when she and her husband, Rolf, began acquiring works by German group Zero artists and Americans Bruce Nauman and Fred Sandback, among others. Recent acquisitions include works by Carolee Schneemann and Franz West.Rocca FoundationJoelle and Eric Romba began opening their private villa and collection to visitors in 2011. Works on view include contemporary Op Art, photorealistic painting, and pieces concerning architecture in art by Philippe Decrauzat, Carmen Herrera, Julian Opie, and others.Collection RegardOn September 10, Marc Barbey debuts a show of Manfred Paul photos of women’s legs taken in Berlin between 1985 and 1990, all from Barbey’s collection, which spans the medium from its 19th-century beginnings to the 1990s.ME Collectors RoomIn 2010 Thomas Olbricht moved his collection—which ranges from Renaissance and Baroque objects installed in a Wunderkammer to contemporary works by artists like Gerhard Richter and Marlene Dumas—to a public space, where his foundation supports exhibitions of other collections as well. “Cindy Sherman: Works from the Olbricht Collection” opens September 16.
