Sophie Gannon Gallery presents its group show titled “Designwork #1” from March 14, 2017 to April 1, 2017. The exhibition “Designwork #1” features the best contemporary Australian Design. It will be accompanied by public programming, including a talk about collecting contemporary design. The exhibition showcases the best designers practicing in Australia, many of whom contribute to the design field on a global scale by designing commercial projects for major design companies such as Cappelini and Mooi. They practice through an enquiry or set of ideas just like artists. “Designwork #1” will push Australian design into new areas such as commercial gallery environment.
