Galerie Daniel Templon presents the works of artist Ivan Navarro (born 1972), which will run from March 11 through May 6, 2017 in Paris.Born in Santiago, Iván Navarro grew up under the Pinochet dictatorship, and has lived and worked in New York since 1997. The artist frequently employs light as his raw material, transforming objects into electric sculptures and turning the exhibition space by means of visual interplay. Though his art is playful, it is also haunted by questions of power, control and imprisonment which is why the act of usurping the minimalist aesthetic is a constant undercurrent, becoming the pretext for understated political and social criticism. The exhibition is on view at Galerie Daniel Templon, 30 Rue Beaubourg, 75003 Paris, France.
