Galerie Ariel Sibony is hosting artists Denis Fremond and Francoise Francq through December 31, 2016.Born in Le Havre in 1950, Denis Fremond was a cartoonist and a comic book writer before he became a painter. Since 1991, he has devoted himself solely to painting. His paintings often feature recognisable art styles and landscapes, but behold a particularly interesting and unique scene. He uses impressionist elements to portray characters in contemplation; walking along the beach or staring out to the sea. These figures become vessels for our own imagination, making us relive similar moments we have experienced ourselves. Francq’s works are sculptures featuring the feminine form. She imbues her statues with seemingly real personalities, through expert work on their expressions, their postures, and their clothes. Every element of the structure tells more of the person and the situation the artist intended to construct. The exhibition is at Galerie Ariel Sibony, 24 place des vosges - 75003 Paris.
