Liang Ban's 'Landscape Browser' is on view at De Sarthe Gallery, Beijing, through February 26, 2017.Curated by Bao Dong, this is the first solo exhibition by artist Liang Ben at the gallery. The artist’s groundbreaking series, 'Hand of God', which was presented in 2015, forms an important component of 'Landscape Browser'. Apart from this, the exhibition also features new works including video, spray painting, and installation. His works present an exploration of the different connotations of landscape and the subject’s portrayal as a social commodity. “Evening Ramble,” a major installation in this exhibition recreating a version of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, furthers the exploration of landscape. On view are also such works as a 3D topological map titled “The Earth Magician No.1” and a video work called “hole.”The exhibition is on view at 328-D Caochangdi, Chaoyang District, 100015 Beijing, China.
