An exhibition of sculpture and fine art by Juventino Aranda opens at the Greg Kucera Gallery in Seatle on January 5, 2017. Aranda, who won the James W. Ray Venture Project Award earlier this year, presents a body of work that makes use of disparate materials to create conceptual installations that examine American identity through the Latino lens. In the past, he has participated in group exhibitions at Terrain, Tacoma Art Museum, the Center for Contemporary Art and Out of Sight, though the forthcoming show marks the artist’s solo debut. “Juventino Aranda: Weed the Lawn and Feed the Roses” is on display at the Greg Kucera Gallery, 212 Third Avenue South, Seattle, Washington 98104 between January 5 and February 18, 2017.
