The Approach in London is hosting an exhibition “Stillness & Drama” by British artist Patrick Caulfield that will be on view through December 11, 2016.The exhibition, presented in association with Waddington Custot, includes both small and large paintings created by the artist between the late 1980s and 1990s, reflecting his personal intimacy with public spaces and the still lives invoked within. Expressing a deep nostalgia and melancholy through the distinctive use of light, shadow and color, the paintings resonate within their physical context through their reflective celebration of uninhibited social environments.
