'Anywhen', an exhibition by French avant-garde artist Philippe Parreno, is on view at Tate Modern, London, through April 2, 2017.As an episode of Hyundai Commission, the exhibition is a site-specific installation by Parreno that redesigns itself throughout the day and keeps evolving during the span of the commission. The exhibition is a construction of sequences in a non-linear narrative that takes its viewers through a stimulating journey by a spectacular choreography of sound lighting, acoustics, flying objects and film, all interconnected to play their role contributing to a much bigger score. Responding to the venue’s position at the center of the museum, at the Turbine Hall, which is an open space connected to the city itself, the exhibition creates a universe of connected events and parallel realities. The artist combines aspects of change and control - the sequences of events triggered by software which is informed by micro-organisms, which react to and activate elements of the commission through a bioreactor placed at the far end of the Turbine Hall. The exhibition is on view at the Turbine Hall of Tate Modern, Bankside, London SE1 9TG, UK.
