‘Programme 1’ of ‘Visions in the Nunnery’ at Nunnery Gallery, London

Nunnery Gallery in London will be hosting “Programme 1” of exhibition, “Visions in the Nunnery,” on view from November 17 through November 23, 2016.“Visions in the Nunnery’s” “Programme 1” explores the themes of identity, narrative, and creation of special characters in unique methods of interpreting the world and its social codes through the medium of films and performances using re-enactment, documentary, and fictionalization, addressing ideas about ‘everyday’ and the perception of self. “Programme 1” features films by artists like Mikhail Karikis and Uriel Orlow. Ed Atkins interprets Alyona Larionova’s film ‘Across Lips’, artist Ulf Lundin presents a voyeuristic portrait of an office and its workers after dark, and Rob Crosse presents his month-long study into the ritual of camel racing in his work ‘Land Cruiser’.The exhibition will be on view at Nunnery Gallery, 181 Bow Road, London E3 2SJ, UK.For details, visit http://www.bowarts.org/nunneryClick on the slideshow for a sneak peek of the exhibition.
