Gallerie Ganesha in New Delhi will host a solo exhibition titled 'Festive Fantasy' featuring the surrealistic work of art by National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) graduate Nandan Purkayastha from October 21 through November 14, 2016.Kolkata-based Assamese artist Purkayastha used rotring ballpoint pen to draw detailed patterns of Goddess Durga, the central figure of his artworks, along with, asuras (demons), tiger, birds and human figures. The influence of Purkayastha's training in fashion school reflects in his artwork where all his characters are drawn wearing flowing garments. His paintings portray the Indian folk tales where the style of work is inspired by Western cowboy comics.The exhibition is on view at Gallerie Ganesha, E-557, Greater Kailash II, New Delhi, Delhi 110048, India.
