A solo exhibition of artist Carol Bove, showcasing his new sculptural works, is on view at Maccarone, Los Angeles, and will run through December 24, 2016.Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Carol Bove lives and works in New York. The artist has arranged four outdoor sculptures in the courtyard at Maccarone. At the entry stands Macaroni(2016), curvilinear spray-coated steel sculpture that is linguistic in form and playful in looping gestures. At the end of the courtyard Love Fashions the Sidereal Body (2016), which is a monolithic slab of petrified wood bolted to an upright I-beam. Positioned between the two massive sculptures are Cat’s Paw(2016) and Here We Are Again (2016). The architectural structure provides a shifting frame of the show, creating new relationships between the works, the viewer, and the spaces in between. The exhibition is on view at Maccarone, 300 South Mission Road, Los Angeles, CA 90033.
