Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac presents artist Erwin Wurm's 'Twilight' which will run through November 19th, 2016 in Salzburg.
For the show, Wurm has specially designed a fictive house with seating furniture and other furnishings which appear physically distorted and disfigured. Interestingly, the colour-range of the works is restricted to black, white and beige/grey. Also their shape is reminiscent of familiar 1960s designs. This particular reference is counteracted in part by the intransigent consistency of bronze, polyester or acrylic moulding, and in part by the stunning contraction which makes the works appear as though seen via a narrowing lens.
