The inaugural edition of the Shanghai Project will launch the first two of its phases, Envision 2116, on September 4, 2016 at Shanghai Himalayas Center.One of the highlights of Phase 1 is the Envision Pavilion designed by Sou Fujmoto. The audience in the gallery space can view Cildo Meireles’ installation, 'Ku Kka Ka Kka' as well as artist Xu Bing’s ‘'Background Story’' and Jenova Chen’s video game, 'Journey'. The Pavilion will also host “Landversation”, a series of performances by Otobong Nkanga and team. Besides, Seed Planet, a public art projection designed and programmed by Liu Yi, will be hosted by Shanghai’s largest park, Century Park.Click on the slideshow for a sneak peek at the exhibition.
