“Linear Tensions,” an exhibition of works by Jillian Clark and Gabrielle Duggan, will be showcased in the Bowery location of Garis & Hahn from August 4 through September 3 in New York. The exhibition is a joint initiative by Garis & Hahn and AH Arts. The exhibition presents two large scale installations and many two-dimensional wall works that deal with issues like memory, displacement, appropriation, labor, and identity. While Clark creates immersive, floor-to-ceiling installations with construction grade chalks and snap-line tools, Duggan's detailed installations are made of disparate materials like glass, tar, rocks, wire, yarn, wood, paint, and textiles.Click on the slideshow for a sneak peek of the exhibition.
