Air de Paris Gallery is showcasing drawings and artwork by Mathias Augustyniak in an exhibition, titled 'à voir déjà vu', on view through March 18, 2017.The drawings of Mathias Augustyniak constitute fragments for a semiology. The artist gathers signs of the outside world, reads them, reinterprets them, and transforms them. All these signs are assembled, equal to one another, they compose a language in which word and image communicate and may well become interchangeable. His practice of drawing is carried by an ancient form of humanism - an exploration of the potentials of humanity. The recurring presence of eroticism contributes to the humanistic element of his drawings; Eroticism is by nature the art of attraction, the art of desire. It is human love that manifests itself through humanity itself. As such, these drawings symbolize all his work as a draftsman: they are declarations of love towards the human being. The exhibition is at Air de Paris, 32, rue Louise Weiss, 75013 Paris- France.
