Flowers Gallery presents "Furtive Loomings" created by artist Glen Baxter, which will run through 11 February 2017.Baxter creates a surreal world, completely different from the reality, cowboys ponder modern art, schoolboys grapple with philosophy and the world's fruits are in constant peril. The exhibition is at the same time created in a adventure comics format, pushing Baxter's world further. The recurring theme of modern art can be seen in "But I Specifically Requested a Rothko". In the painting, a cowboy rebukes a dog with a small 'Mondrian' painting in its jaws. The work is influenced from his childhood in Yorkshire, and many elements in his paintings point towards that. The exhibition is showcased at 529 West 20th Street New York NY 10011.
