Artworks and installations by Matt Copson titled “Sob Story” are on display at High Art Gallery, Paris through February 11, 2017.With a combination of painted works, physical structures and HD projections, Matt Copson creates a dark and spooky yet colorful and expressive atmosphere, where one finds figures and apparitions telling a haunting tale. The artist uses not only lights but also shadows, through his use of projectors, to masterfully enhance the aesthetics and visuals. The works are meant to pleasantly disturb us through their colorful designs and grim stories. The work “Feeling Good About Feeling Bad” is a portrayal of the dissonance one may feel when his actions conflict his morals or principles.
