“Overflowing,” an exhibition featuring the works of Scottish artist Hazel Thorn (b. 1988) will run from January 6-23, 2017, at The Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh. This is her first exhibition with the gallery. The selection of works on display reflects her sculptural approach and the palette of turquoise, black and silver give a sense of subtlety to Thorn’s creations. The artist uses a combination of base and precious metal to produce her work and the final shape of the sculpture is decided by her through the pattern of the metal. Hazel’s technique is hands on and much of her creations are results of experimentation in the workshop.
