Chinese artist Li Gang’s fifth solo exhibition titled “Li Gang” is on view at Galerie Urs Meile, Beijing, through February 19, 2017.The exhibition will showcase the artist’s paintings and sculptures revolving around the theme of “the aesthetics of imperfection.” Li Gang’s Oil Painting series is included in this exhibition and will include several of his new paintings. Among his sculptures is the Gravity series that captures the male–female relationship among migrants. In Dessert, Li Gang used a number of materials that are used by migrant workers in their daily lives, such as discarded pots and kettles, plaster, as well as human hair, to create the artist’s perception of reality. Another work on display is False or True. This is an experimental mechanical piece that focuses on space and aura. The exhibition is held at No. 104 Caochangdi, Chaoyang District, 100015 Beijing, China. For details, visit: https://galerieursmeile.com Click on the slideshow for a sneak peek of the event.
