Drawings, sculptures and other artworks by Thomas Monin are on display at Galerie Barnoud, Quetigny, titled “Ocelles & paréidolies,” through January 28, 2017.Thomas Monin continues his exploration of the relationship between man and nature through this exhibition. Attentive to the whole of the living world, he titled the exhibition "Ocelles & paréidolies" with reference to the eye-like spots that appear on the plumage of certain birds, for example, and to the term used by psychologists to evoke our tendency to associate an abstract form with an identifiable element, such as when we think we recognize a face on a tree trunk. Through drawings, sculptures, installations and models of artistic projects, Monin wants to invent "an animal art, which would blur the boundaries between the animal and ourselves."The exhibition is at Galerie Barnoud, 2 rue Champeau, Angle du 9 BD de L’Europe, F-21800 Quetigny.
