The JAHM is hosting a group exhibition of digital media titled “Digital: The World of Alternative Realities” from February 16 through June 4, 2017. The exhibition highlights digitally generated artworks of art collectors Charles and Leah Justin, examining the notions of dystopian visions, increasingly machine-made world, alternative universes, altered perceptions of space/time and a social commentary on our dramatically changing world. The digital revolution is changing the way we shop, bank, are entertained, find our partners, travel and also means of self-expression is increasing and we can project ourselves into public sphere as writers, moviemakers, celebrities, journalist, chefs, opinion makers, musicians and even artists. There is a blurring of boundaries between what is real, what is virtual and what is fiction, a theme explored in this exhibition. The artists featured here include Gregory Bennet, Richard Blackwell, Stephen Haley, Michael Candy and many more. It is a rare opportunity to view this uncommonly collected and exhibited digital art form.
