An exhibition of paintings by Dashiell Manley titled “Whatever, A Vibrant Holiday” is on display at the Marianne Boesky Gallery through December 17, 2016.In his first one-man show at the gallery, the Los Angeles-based artist presents a new series of compositions that explore the psychological and emotional experience of engaging with current events and the cycle of breaking news. With this suite, Manley — whose work is part of the permanent collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Hammer Museum — expands his practice to engage more deeply with oil, creating a highly textured body of work that is entirely abstract and individual.“Dashiell Manley: Whatever, A Vibrant Holiday” is on view at the Marianne Boesky Gallery, 509 West 24th Street, New York, New York 10011.
