Octav Grigorescu’s “Les jours gigantesques” is on view at Galeria Plan B through January 28, 2017.Octav Grigorescu was born in 1933 and died at the age of 54 in 1987. In this short lifetime, this painter, fine art professor, and engraver created a vast body of work and made his mark on 20th-century Romanian art. This solo exhibition of his unique oeuvre offers an insight into his practice. Focused on his works in the 1960s, the exhibition examines his work in terms of its relationship with poetry, drawing, and painting. This was also the year when the artist participated in the 34th Venice Biennale (Romanian Pavilion).
