This is your last chance to experience David Noonan’s latest exhibition “Lead Light” on display at Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery, Sydney. The exhibition ends on December 16, 2016.“Lead Light” features David Noonan’s recent silk-screen linen collages. The complex layering of images and formally considered compositions have always delineated David Noonan’s practice, and this exhibition of delicately collaged linen is no exception. Each work is a portrait, an individual wearing or applying some form of make-up, overlaid with a window or glass piece from the craft tradition of lead lighting. Drawn from different periods and cultural references, these carefully crafted works capture highly personal rituals of transformation, introspection through abstraction. David Noonan has exhibited nationally and internationally for almost two decades. Noonan’s work is held in major public and private collections worldwide. The exhibition is on view at Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery, 8 Soudan Lane (off Hampden Street) Paddington NSW 2021 Sydney Australia. For details, visit: http://roslynoxley9.com.au/exhibitions/Click on the slideshow for a sneak peek at the exhibition.
