The exhibition “Hollowforms” at CES Gallery in Los Angeles will end on December 11, 2016. This is your last opportunity to check out the works of Los Angeles-based artists Orr Herz and Brian Robertson at the gallery.Herz and Robertson are interested in containers and symbols and their movements through space. Robertson’s dense spaces are meditative, suggestive of inner journey, complete with a hollow form to mark time. While the hands depicted on Herz’s sculptures are gestures of movement and measurement, possibly the instructions for complex motion through space or retelling of an observed action. These two hands point to form the hands of a clock, mirroring the shape of Robertson’s tubular vessels.
