An exhibition entitled “Effing the Ineffable” featuring the works of well-known artists Claire Healy and Sean Cordeiro is on view at the Chan Hampe Galleries, Singapore and will run through November 13, 2016.The exhibition represents Egyptian stone reliefs that have been re-etched onto misconstructed IKEA furniture. Claire Healy and Sean Cordeiro have fused Egyptian Hieroglyphs and the visual expression of IKEA in an attempt to unveil the paradox of the modern human state, and have deftly generated a composition that surveys our contemporary life perceived via the inappropriate side of a telescope. The exhibition is on view at Chan Hampe Galleries, 328 North Bridge Road, #01-21, Raffles Hotel Arcade, Singapore 188719.
