Lehmann Maupin presents a solo exhibition of new work by American artist David Salle who is hailed as a leader in the return to figurative painting in the 1980s. The show will run through November 12th, 2016 in Hong Kong. Salle’s body of work emerges from a long-standing involvement with performance and film. He tends to reference cinematic devices—close-ups, zooms, montage, splicing, all which eventually become a visible part of each painting’s narrative.
