Sprovieri, London, is hosting an exhibition - a collaborative venture of Art & Language and Ilya Kabakov, titled, 'The Non-Objective World', on view through November 19, 2016.The artists showcase their own takes on Kasimir Malevich’s book The Non-Objective World, a 20th century classic on Suprematism and radical abstraction. The works were inspired by the famous Black Square paintings by Malevich that popularized the idea of a non-objective existence and its implications. Art & Language (Michael Baldwin and Mel Ramsden) present their own works, inspired by the theme that Malevich worked on in the 1910s and the 1920s, that have come directly from the artists’ studio for the first time. Conceptual artist Ilya Kabakov’s Black Corner paintings will also be on display, which are his additions to pure abstract, geometric form of art, inspired again by Malevich’s work. The exhibition will be on view at Sprovieri, 23 Heddon street, London W1B 4BQ.
