A solo exhibition showcasing a new landscape series crafted by pioneering Ukrainian contemporary artist Oleksandr Babak is on view at Voloshyn Gallery, Kiev, and will run through October 23, 2016.The new paintings being exhibited are particularly easy and direct in nature and seem to be abstract, while the artist’s use of generalization and understatement give the viewers a space for imagination. Representing the expressive style of painting, the novel landscape series encompasses few works created in the Transcarpathian region in addition to a bulk of artworks made in Velykyy Pereviz, where Oleksandr Babak resided in the late 80’s.The exhibition is on view at Voloshyn Gallery, Tereshchenkovskaya ulitsa, 13, Kiev, Kyivs'ka oblast, Ukraine, 01004.
