“Hypochondriac” by Turkish artist Seçkin Pirim will run through October 29, 2016, at C24 Gallery, New York. This is the artist’s first solo exhibition in the US. The body of work on display comprises of a variety of materials including paper and Plexiglass. This exhibition is a deviation from Pirim’s usual style and technique. The artist combines his previous methods of obsessively symmetrical and precise optical effects with the exact opposite, a spontaneous and uncalculated style of production. Pirim explores his personal struggle with hypochondria, the constant worry of having a serious illness, through his art practice.
