Richard Saltoun Gallery presents “Some Dimensions of My Lunch: Conceptual Art in Britain’ from September 1 through 28, 2016 in London. The exhibition is the final episode of Richard Saltoun’s program of four one-month-long exhibitions dedicated towards conceptual art in Britain during 1960s and 1970s. The exhibition presents works of two under-recognized artists- Ed Herring and Roger Palmer, who revived the concept of the tradition of modern art. Herring’s works are preoccupied by his focus on documentation and measurements of his experiments involving the relation between environment and culture, questioning the consumption, creation and cultural responsibilities towards ecological concerns. Palmer combined text and photograph, introspecting human behaviour of collecting images to subvert the traditional concept of landscape and its shift in understanding with the context of accompanied information.Click on the slideshow for a sneak peek of the exhibition.
